Transparency Act statement

Reitan Retail and its subsidiaries are encompassed by the Norwegian Transparency Act. We are positive to the aim of the Act, which fits well with our responsibility and business strategy.

On 1 July, 2022, a new Norwegian law called "Act relating to enterprises' transparency and work on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions," also called the Transparency Act, came into force.

The Transparency Act aims to reduce the risk of violations of human rights and ensure decent working conditions in own business, in the value chain and with partners.

The law is uniquely Norwegian, with an obligation to carry out due diligence assessments in accordance with the OECD guidelines for multinational enterprises.

Reitan Retail accounts for substantial risks, findings, actions and plans in the statement according to the transparency act for our business areas REMA 1000 Norway, REMA 1000 Denmark, Reitan Convenience and Uno-X Mobility.

Upon written request, any person has the right to information from us regarding how we address actual and potential adverse impacts on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions, including requests on country of origin of specific products. We will provide information within three weeks.
